MEET OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

“I love working with the elderly and you will often find me in the hallways with them singing and dancing,” Hoffman said. “Thanks to the amazing donation from the Assisted Living Association we have an Alexa at the front desk where everyone likes to gather.”

Tonya Hoffman is a mother of three, a “key spouse” for her husbands Air Force squadron, and someone who is passionate about serving seniors. In 2011, while her husband was stationed in Alaska, she began her healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and has been working in the field since then.

After earning her certification as a CNA, Hoffman started working at a skilled nursing facility. During her 4.5 years in this role, Hoffman continued her education to earn her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology, and later went on to complete her Masters Degree in Health Administration after her family re-located to North Carolina.

After moving to the South, Hoffman served as a Business Office Manager for an assisted living facility in the Goldsboro area. In October 2020, she accepted her current role as Executive Director at Snow Hill Assisted Living.

“I love working with the elderly and you will often find me in the hallways with them singing and dancing,” Hoffman said. “Thanks to the amazing donation from the Assisted Living Association we have an Alexa at the front desk where everyone likes to gather.”

When Hoffman isn’t busy tending to staff and residents at Snow Hill, she enjoys traveling for her kids’ soccer teams and exploring different parts of North Carolina.

“I love traveling and seeing the different parts of N.C., and that is also one of the plus sides of being a military spouse,” Hoffman said. “Unfortunately the only two moves we have had are to Alaska and NC so I haven’t seen as much of the world as I want.”

Hoffman also takes her role as a military spouse very seriously, and voluntarily works with spouses of deployed members to support them while their loved ones are away.

“I have a big heart for helping people of all ages,” Hoffman said.
